Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centres of which our consciousness, our energy system, are composed - each is linked to a different area of physical, emotional & mental function. Every chakra has a specific colour linked to it, which opens & stimulates energy flow. They are the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our aura. Chakras can easily become blocked or over stimulated, use of colour visualization can help balance the energies & chakras allowing you to feel calmer or re-energised - more centred & balanced. The chakras are not physical. They are like auras in many ways they are aspects of consciousness. However, the chakras are more dense than the auras, but not as dense as the physical body.
Balanced chakras is the key to good health. Through stress of any kind, physical, emotional, psychological, our Chakras can become unbalanced or out of tune. Eventually, disease can result. Returning our Chakras to balance can heal our diseases. Keeping our Chakras in balance can keep us healthy physically, emotionally and psychologically
Chakras are located in important parts of your body such as your head or heart. Each Chakra is also associated with one of the seven endocrine glands. This means that each organ and the entire body and its functions are connected to our Chakras. They are connected via nerves which generate out from them and by the endocrine glands associated with them, and also with a group of nerves called a plexus. Thus, each Chakra can be associated with particular parts of the body and particular functions within the body controlled by that plexus or that endocrine gland associated with that Chakra.
Every chakra has a corresponding organ in our physical system:
If you can become in tune with your chakras and also begin to understand them you will be aware of the relationship between your consciousness and your body, and to then see your body as a map of your consciousness. It will inevitably give you a better understanding of yourself and those around you.
Visualize your chakras and check to see if they are open or closed. You can use a pendulum and dowse the energy, it will do the same thing if you can't visualize or sense the chakras. You will notice the spin of the pendulum spinning at different speeds when chakras are open or closed. Fast spinning usually indicates an open chakra but you can specifically ask "Does the fast spin means an open chakra" and see what answer you get, "yes" or "no".
Chakras when they are open are bright and may feel hot with energy and spinning at a fast pace. When chakras are closed they may feel cold with not much energy and a slower spin and not much light to them.
You may feel tingling with the palm of your hand when a chakra is open, not all chakras give out the same amount of energy so you may feel varying energy which may indicate an imbalance.
